Wednesday 18 March 1998
Institute of Physics Annual Congress, The Brighton Centre, Brighton.

This one day conference organised by the Static Electrification Group of the Institute of Physics is a follow on to that held 15 January 1997 on ‘Static and Textiles’. The aim is to examine the problems which arise from static electricity on textiles, ways to control these problems and ways to assess relevant fabric characteristics. Topic areas include: apparel garments, hosiery, car seating, cleanroom garments, personnel protective clothing, industrial fabrics, FIBCs and methods of measurement. A number of methods of measurement will be demonstrated.
